Venture Capital Industry

Chilean Venture Capital Association (ACVC)

ACVC’s goal is to promote Venture Capital in Chile, promoting this way financing of entrepreneurship and innovation.

The Association is the country’s Venture Capital advocate, with a membership that includes more than 90% of the Chilean institutions active in the industry. It has contacts with Government entities, investors and other stakeholders. It also promotes better regulation to foster the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

ACVC has 74 members, including 28 VC Funds (of which 22 are Chilean), 14 CVC, 4 Family Offices and 1 Multilateral. The other 25 members include Business Accelerators, Innovation Centers, Incubators and some Open Innovation Businesses on their way to creating their own CVC. In the last few years the membership has increased by 135%.

In its regional expansion strategy, ACVC has attracted Funds and CVC from different countries in Latin America as members, and it promotes collaboration with sister associations elsewhere in the Region. Among other activities, it organizes Regional Events and Co-Investment Sessions every year; it also promotes the exchange of good practices to strengthen the network throughout the Region.

ACAFI is an industry association representing Investment Fund Managers; most of the Fund Managers in Chile are members. ACAFI is a discussion forum and advocacy platform for matters related to these funds and their management.

ACAFI works to expand best practices in Investment Management, improve Investors’ education, and support the Investment Funds industry in the country. It also provides a platform for members to exchange ideas and knowledge, and to cooperate in promoting regulation, research and the development of Investment Funds.
